Dear Friends,This past Sunday, we learned from Brad Wurzel how the Jesus Way is free from arrogance, and full of humility. Luke 14 is a powerful passage on that, wouldn't you say? As he was sharing, I was struck by two things: #1. I need to LISTEN carefully to the message of Jesus about humility - not just because I appreciate the brilliance of Jesus, but because I myself really need to heart-check on this issue.#2. We are really BLESSED with a team of Bible-honoring co

Dear Friends,Our staff and multiple volunteers were able to invest in 19 student leaders over the past few days - really a rewarding and fun experience for all!  Our 2nd Annual 2-Day Leadership Intensive went great - discussing careers, success, excellence, leadership, eternity, farming, business, finance, planning, situational awareness, rescue techniques, and even "how to hack your parents' brains!"

Special thanks to all who helped make it possible, including Brad & Br

Memorial Day - Making Life Count

Dear Friends, this special moment of the year is a great time to reflect on what we have as Americans - and what price was paid by those who gave their lives to defend the cause of liberty.  I for one am GRATEFUL and HUMBLED that God would allow me to live in such a free and prosperous place, and that so many soldiers in times past were willing to put their lives on the line to protect our way of life. Make this weekend special by taking a few moments out of your day on Mo

Is the World on Fire?

Dear Friends, the Jesus Way is free from deception and full of honesty. And as we learned from Pastor Del this week, being honest is a bigger deal than we might think - and lies might be more plentiful than we imagined.  Apparently, even animals lie.  But it's not all innocent. Lying is the language of Satan, and it's a language that we start to learn, regrettably, even before we learn English.  If we follow "our way" we'll likely find ourselves caught in a mix of stress

Dear Friends,Got you with that title line, eh?This week's message at church was PERSONAL to all of us, because all of us have been practicing anger since 18 months old.  Or maybe before that?We learned that The Jesus Way of life offers freedom from anger's dark control - even if you're Irish or Italian or had a rough childhood or saw bad examples or can't stand your boss or hate reading your pastor's emails or...(fill in your excuse here).  The truth is that PEACE is possi

Dear Friends,It's today.Your Savior, my Savior - our Savior - died. He went to the Cross, so many years ago. It's hard to imagine where our lives would be without Him, what might have become of us had we never been rescued. Yesterday evening at The Last Supper I shared a few principles from Hebrews 10 about the sacrifice of Jesus. I invite you to read that chapter, and to consider it on this special day.It teaches us that Christ's death on the cross was the complete ful

Dear Friends,Are you ready for the most important weekend on the Christian calendar?THURSDAYIt begins tonight with the remembrance of Jesus' final meal with the disciples before crucifixion. When he showed them the meaning of servanthood. When he commanded them to love each other as He had loved them. When he stared into the face of his betrayer and then retreated to the garden for prayer.FRIDAYGood Friday might have been called the worst Friday in the history of the world

Dear Friends,

Our staff team recently discussed some of the goals we have for this particular season of church life.  In the midst of uncertainty, it's easy to switch to "survival" mode and to lose track of the bigger picture.  I was really encouraged by what was shared - and I think you will be too.  So, here are the highlights:

GOALS for the rest of 2020

1. Unity.  We all know we're being tested in a massive way in this regard - to let little things become big things - to g

244 years of progress...let's keep going!

Dear Friends,

Two hundred forty-four years ago, a grand experiment began, frought with risks. A few colonists decided to rewrite their own story, and in doing so, changed everything.  "When in the course of human events..."

Our American founding fathers knew that truth can't be determined, in the ultimate sense, by the whims of kings or bureaucrats, or by even passionate majorities.  Instead every human law is subservient to a higher principle. "We hold these truths to be se
